The Pasture Rangeland and Forage (PRF) Pilot Insurance Program had 526,433 acres enrolled in 2020. That is up from 362,626 from 2019. The PRF in Lake County Oregon has been helping many cattle ranchers and hay producers protect against persistent drought conditions. PRF is available for perennial hay acreage, or land used for grazing. The grazing land can include leased ground. There aren't any upfront costs, premium isn't billed until September of 2021.

The PRF Program pays you when rainfall is less than 90% of the historical average for your grid.
